Heart of Glass-Artist Seen, Artist Heard (Toadies-Heretics Artwork)

Artist sign painter Sean Starr, of Starr Studios in Denton, Texas, details the reverse glass gilding process he used for creating the artwork on the cover of the Toadies’ latest album, Heretics. Sean creates a handmade piece that captures the essence of the album: a grassroots, eclectic mix of sounds. He uses several techniques with a “Timeless Texas” vibe to match the acoustical, back-to-basics sound from the Toadies. We follow Sean as he delivers an antique album cover that’s a return to album covers of yesterday.
